My Fitness Story
To get started, I bought a treadmill. . I had always called
these "Gerbil-o-matics" because people really do look like
gerbils running on a wheel.
At this point I decided to pray about this
venture. I was a Christian at the time but had stopped going
to Church. Losing weight and changing your lifestyle is
tough work! You are going to need help! With God's love,
strength, and blessing, you can change yourself on the outside
and inside. See, Testimony.
Soon, my body stopped craving certain foods.
My body said "Hey, how about we skip that chili dog because
we have to run in a few hours." Our bodies are *really*
good at saying things like that!

| MMM...let's go run! |
In early 2003 I was running about 12 miles a week. I was
happy with my weight loss but still wasn't happy with my physique
and the way I looked. I decided to join the YMCA and start
lifting weights in addition to running.
In 2004, I joined the Franklin Athletic Club. At this time
I started getting very serious about my weight training. Working
out with people above your fitness level is a great way to
provide both motivation and education.
In 2005, I decided I wanted to help people by sharing my
fitness knowledge, talent, and experience. I studied and received
my ACE Personal Trainer Certification.
Currently, I run 20 miles per week, and I lift four days
a week. As you workout more it gets easier and easier! You
get addicted to the results, to the feeling, and the training
becomes part of who you are. Many of my friends are at the
gym, and it's a great place to meet people.
I know that my metamorphosis was a blessing from God, and
I give Him all the credit and honor for it. My change has
been dramatic and yours can be too! |
