Flexibility
Flexibility is by far the most overlooked component in a fitness program.
While you probably remember your gym teacher or coach telling
you to stretch, most people simply do not stretch at all.
Some major benefits of stretching:
- Improved strength (flexible muscles have greater power
through their entire range of motion)
- Improved coordination - very important for sports!
- Decreased risk of injury - probably the only one you've
ever heard before!
