Flexibility

Flexibility is by far the most overlooked component in a fitness program. While you probably remember your gym teacher or coach telling you to stretch, most people simply do not stretch at all.

Some major benefits of stretching:

  • Improved strength (flexible muscles have greater power through their entire range of motion)
  • Improved coordination - very important for sports!
  • Decreased risk of injury - probably the only one you've ever heard before!
